In this course students will learn the age-old skill of bookbinding using a variety of structures and materials. This bookbinding course is open to all skill levels and will provide students with the fundamental knowledge and mechanical skills needed to get started. In this course students will learn different book binding and stitching techniques to create their very own sketchbook or journal from scratch. Students will learn how to make their own hardcover book by binding paper together. A few styles of books students will learn how to make are accordion books, hardcover books, soft cover books. A few styles of binding methods students will learn how to use are singer sewn, side sewn, and glued binding.
