Learn how to use watercolor in unexpected ways to create bold results. Initial steps in using the medium will focus on value, layering, creating forms and then color relationships. Create a foundation for working and then go beyond traditional watercolor by experimenting with different techniques. Discover how to take advantage of unexpected "mistakes" for your own benefit. Imagery for this course will be mostly representational while encouraging atmospheric effects and the looser side of the medium. Watercolor is vibrant and translucent in nature, has no odor and is affordable. This class is for All Levels. Previous painting experience is not required, however an understanding in value drawing is helpful.
