Join us on December 4, 2022, from 12PM to 4PM as Art League Houston hosts Make & Take, an art-making event for all ages at our campus on 1953 Montrose Boulevard. The event is open to the entire community and will feature amazing local artists, makers, and organizations providing hands-on demonstrations of a variety of art-making projects that you can make and then take home. In addition to your own masterpieces, Make & Take will have a companion video series so you can recreate your favorite projects at home with your friends and family too.

The History

The Make & Take is the collaborative brainchild of Houston-based artists Chasity Porter & Eepi Chaad. The first Make & Take was imagined by Chasity back in 2015 as a Dormalou Project offering. Chastity reached out to Eepi, who was coordinating events for Texas Art Supply at the time and a multi-year partnership began and a lifelong friendship blossomed! Each year, the two coordinated a variety of artists and organizations to come together to offer short hands-on activities. Attendees meet artists, try a variety of mediums, and take a few creations home with them. Chasity & Eepi are thrilled to partner with Art League Houston in 2022 for the triumphant return of the Make & Take, a project funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance!
