This course explores oil painting and is meant for beginners. For this reason, the class will begin with exercises meant to get the students more familiar with using this type of paint and the mediums that come with it. This first meeting will include color mixing demonstration as well as a small study to be painted on canvas paper. As we move through this course, students will be encouraged to explore subject matter that interests them with oil paint.
