What are the stories you need to tell? Comics can precisely frame visual narratives, quickly deliver complex information, and resonate with readers emotionally connecting people of all ages, nationalities, and economic backgrounds. Students will learn about story structure, page composition, pacing, materials and techniques, character design, environmental drawing, and production. It is not a drawing class, but a class where you will work within your preferred style and learn how to create visual narratives. The work produced over the term will be put into a comic anthology that we will self-publish at the term's end. This class is recommended for intermediate to advanced students.
